Cynthia Chilcotin-Cowgirl
What is your Horses Name, Age, Breed?:
Cisco is a pure bred Quarter Horse, buckskin gelding and he is 10.
He is new to Rodeos but it is obvious it's in his blood. He loves the drill team and is doing very well in it.
How many years have you been riding?:
Long time. I remember first Rodeo I went to, I told my mom thats what I'm
going to do when I grow up. I led trail rides in my mum's business then managed cattle on my family's ranch
in the Chilcotin for 8 years.
How many years have you been with the Cariboo Cowgirls?:
This is my first year with the team, I joined February 2011.
I remember the first practice I went to watch what the team does, within two minutes of being there, they threw
me on a horse and I rode the practice with them.
What other equine activities do you do outside of the Cariboo Cowgirls?:
I love Roping and doing some
Barrel Racing. Horse shows maybe a Gymkhana or two. I love working cattle and going on drives.
What do you like best about being in a drill team?:
It has been my dream forever to ride in Rodeos.
This is my start, opening for Rodeos with the drill team. I love the challenge of the manoeuvres we have to
memorize. The girls are awesome to work with. I love carrying the flags. I trained Cisco myself and am so
proud of him when he performs his best. I love the speed and adrenaline of the Rodeo Sport.
